  1. Hi,
I read this book 'The Princess Diaries: Third time lucky'. This book tells a story of a girl named 'Mia' who just found out the she is the princess of Genovia(the country doesnt exist actually but who cares, this is just a novel, after all). In this book, Mia thinks that she is lucky because of three reason. First, she lives in New York, the coolest city in the world. Second, she is the princess. Third, she finally had a boyfriend eventhough her boyfriend was not the one that she always dreaming of. But she thank God for that. By reading this book, i realize that i must be grateful and thank God because i am lucky as well. I live in Malaysia, the most peaceful country. Then, i got into the university, eventhough i kind of dont like it when first time me being here. I never thought of living here and taking engineering but now, i am grateful that i am here, what if i dont get into any university? That's more horrible than living here. So, be satisfied of what you have before you lose it.
    That's all. Thank you.

  2. hi,
    assalamualaikum madam azlinda.

I have read an article about burn fat by eating chocolate:
for those chocolate - loving(and eating) men are in better heath than those who don't like it, say researchers at Imperial College London, and Nestle. Over five days, a group of healthy young men (half liked chocolate, half didn't) ate the same foods, plus a choice of bread or chocolate. Blood and urine tests showed the chocolate lovers processed fatty foods better and had lower LDL ("BAD") cholesterol. So, indulging on occasion may have long-term health benefits-but, researchers say, only when paired with and otherwise healthy diet and lifestyle.
    That’s all from me.
    Thank you

  6. just now i view oddee.com web. its so interesting to read because there are many bizarre things that i can know trough this website.one of them is about
Arachibutyrophobia: fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth..Say what? You heard it. Eating a peanut butter sandwich is challenging for people with aracibutyrophobia, as they will freak out if the butter sticks to their mouth. weird isn't it?but i think i can understand them because i face the same problem but maybe my situation is not called as a phobia and maybe because i hate peanut.

So, I decide to share some information about chocolate. Chocolate also being related to it's disadvantages. But, in fact, it also bring some goodness to us.

Chocolate also can be as medication. Studies have shown that chocolate pick out and release of feel-good endorphins in the brain.

Chocolate also can be defined as a health food. Antioxidant-rich diets has been linked to a lower the risk of heart attacks, stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol problems, arthritis, asthma, and more. So it is the reason that if chocolate is full with antioxidants.

    It's actually good for us.

  9. Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as new prime minister... Here, I want to give my opinion about the statement.

I think it isn't a good and clever way to choose our nation leader. Because sometimes, if we think deeper, is he or her qualified to be a leader? In my opinion, to choose a leader, must have the supporters. Not just from his or her supporters, but from the people, the Malaysian. Malaysian people could choose their best leader.

If this situation keep happen, I believe that maybe someday Malaysia will fall to others. Until when this situation could be stop? But i still support Datuk Seri Najib as our prime minister hoping he took the job not for money, for rank, for glamorous but to advanced Malaysia.

    I love Malaysia.

Iwant to share with you, about the wierd thing that found in Yang Dingcai'stomach.he is live in southeast China says 40 years of swallowing tree frogs and rats live has helped him avoid intestinal complaints and made him strong. Jiang Musheng, a 66-year-old resident of Jiangxi province, suffered from frequent abdominal pains and coughing from the age of 26, until an old man called Yang Dingcai suggested tree frogs as a remedy, the Beijing News said on Tuesday.

"At first, Jiang Musheng did not dare to eat a live, wriggling frog, but after seeing Yang Dingcai swallow one, he ate ... two without a thought," the paper said. "After a month of eating live frogs, his stomach pains and coughing were completely gone."

Over the years Jiang had added live mice, baby rats and green frogs to his diet, and had once eaten 20 mice in a single day, the paper said.

i glad to share with you about 'value theory'.Value theory encompasses a range of approaches to understanding how, why, and to what degree humans should or do value things, whether the thing is a person, idea, object, or anything else.At the general level, there is a difference between moral and natural goods. Moral goods are those that have to do with the conduct of persons, usually leading to praise or blame. Natural goods, on the other hand, have to do with objects, not persons.as the conclusion, Ethics tend to be focused on moral goods rather than natural goods, while economics tends to be interested in the opposite. However, both moral and natural goods are equally relevant to goodness and value theory, which is more general in scope.

  14. Salam everyone,

As we know, everybody in this world has their own fear. Want to learn how to face your fear? These are some funny ways to overcome your fear, but its really works psychologically:

    1. Yell at them.
Tell them to go to a place where there are no lemonade stands.

    2. Laugh at them.
A good technique: start with “ha” and end with “hee.”

    3. Talk about them.
Preferably to a friend, over a cup of strong coffee.

    4. Scare them away.
Any mask will do, but any beast or vampire getup is particularly effective.

    5. Dress them up.
With the right attire and hairdo, you can make anything seem attractive and desirable (to someone else), right?

    6. Harness them.
If they are under your control, you don’t have to worry about them.

    7. Interrogate them.
Ask them the hard questions, including: where, what, why, when, and how? Then get a mug shot.

    8. Bully them.
Boss them around like the scary dude in the fifth grade who made you cry. You’re bigger than they are –don’t let them forget it.

    9. Free them.
Let them go. Tell them to have fun, but not to come back.

Grab some points and try it at home!

Here are some tips to counter and reduce stress for a more well-balanced life.
Our bodies use up enormous amounts of vitamins and minerals when we experience stress. This can leave us tired, run down, irritable and less able to deal with our responsibilities. Vitamins C and B complex, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc are the hardest hit nutrients. These can be restored through a diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, nuts, yeast, brown rice, fish, liver, kelp and eggs. Food to avoid when stressed include tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits, soft drinks, chocolate and white bread.Physical exercise releases endorphins into your body that will make you feel better about yourself and more in control of your situation.Relaxation techniques are useful to reduce stress. Make time to relax your muscles each day and you will be amazed at how quickly the physical tension is reduced. Relax by listening to music, meditating, playing with your pet, having a nap or reading a good book. When we experience extreme feelings of stress, it is often because we are having extreme thoughts. Try to think realistically about what is making you feel this way. How likely is it to happen? Ask what is the worst possible outcome of this situation? Consider how this would affect the scheme of things. Look at the big picture. We can reduce the amount of stress by using our time and energy efficiently. A realistic list of things to do for the day is a good start. Setting priorities and learning to slow down are essential ingredients in reducing your level of stress. We often cope better by sharing our feelings with other people. This may be as simple as talking to your partner or best friend, or seeking a qualified health professional or organisation to help you manage your stress levels.

for all my friends, dont let stress control our life.

  17. HI,
    madam Azlinda.

i recently know that stress has two: that are stress that's good and stress that's bad... i read about this article from reader's digest book for august edition..

    so from my reading:
    stress that's good are;
    1) having a filled-to-the-brim schedule that still contains several activities that you look forward to and enjoy doing.

    2) Facing something with enough excitement to override any fears

    3) being tired enough to get restful, deep sleep.

    4) Feeling challenged and alert-primed to tackle the task at hand

    and here are some stress that's bad;

1)having an overloaded schedule stuffed with obligations that you don't enjoy and wouldn't fulfill if you had a choice.

    2) Facing something with a mixture of dread, worry and anxiety.

    3) wanting to stay in all time rather than take a stab at getting through the day

4)having restless sleep, ulcers, back pain or recurrent illness.

    Okay that's all...
    thank you

  18. Hi,
    Assalamualaikum madam Azlinda

‘DRUGS THAT CAN DISTURB SLEEP’. Antidepressants; Prozac, Paxil and other serotonin – reuptake inhibitors sometimes disturb normal sleep patterns. Asthma Medications ; some inhaled and oral treatments, such as steroids and thephylline, can act as stimulants. Beta – blockers ; these can cause insomnia, nighttime awakenings, daytime sleepiness and vivid dreams. Decongestants ; two common ones, pseudoephedrine and phenylpropanolamine, can act as stimulants. Diuretics ; ‘water pills’ may disrupt sleep by prompting the need for the frequent urination. Painkillers ; aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen can decrease melatonin synthesis. Some aspirin – based nonprescription painkillers contain caffeine.

  19. salam..Moon..There's a lot we know about the moon. It's roughly one-sixth the size of the Earth, it's about 4.6 billion years old,it's approximately 238,000 miles distant from the Earth,it has no atmosphere and no water, it's covered with an incredibly fine gray powder. But there's much we don't know about it too. We're not sure where it came from. Some think it might be a broken-off chunk of Earth. Although there's evidence that the moon once had active volcanoes, we're not sure if it's still geologically active. The moon has its more controversial mysteries, too. Some think there's stuff on the moon, flags, and debris left there by the Apollo astronauts that the government knows about, but is not telling us. Decades, even centuries, before we sent ships to the moon, observers with telescopes have claimed to see signs of intelligent life or design there. Indeed, there are many enigmatic photos that seem to show shapes and structures on the lunar surface that don't fit conventional explanations. Perhaps there are reasonable answers for them, but those answers are not easy to find. So,for me moon is a strange things that we must explore one day.

  21. Clouds are fluffy, benign masses of water vapor, right? Consider this,in an otherwise clear September sky near Agen, France in 1814, a small, white, spherical cloud appeared. It floated motionless for a while before beginning to spin and head quickly southward. Witnesses reported that deafening rumbling noises thundered from the cloud, and then it suddenly exploded in a shower of rocks and stones. The cloud then slowly faded away. This is one case of extremely rare and highly unusual behavior from clouds.

  24. Hye..I want to share about sleeping secrets: Tips for a good night's sleep.

    1. not consume food, fluids, or alcohol in the hours leading up to sleep

2.Preparing your body & mind for a sound sleep:
Start winding down a few hours prior to going to bed. Put your work away.
Take a soothing bath or shower. Sing in the shower!

3.contoured pillow is the way to go because it helps naturally align the spine by supporting the neck and cradling the head.

4.Your body reacts favourably if there are few or no pressure points.Zero gravity. Your body should sink into your mattress, and be evenly supported. Physical stick-outs like shoulders and buttocks in particular should be under no pressure, because if they are then your spine will be thrown out.

I want to share with you all about the jokes that I have read in reader digest several times ago.
    KID
My five-year-old, Katie, asked what I did at work. I explained that part of my job in the research lab was experimenting with mice and rats. Weeks later, at a school function, Katie's teacher expressed interest in my job. ''The children were describing where their parents work, '' she chuckled, ''and Katie told us that her mum works for rats.''
    LIFE IS LIKE THAT
My mother, who is 93, lives simply but comfortably in an assisted-living home. Even though she has ample savings, she is always worried about the state of her finances.
My brother-in-law tried to ease her mind by telling her, ''I've calculated that, given your expenses, you have enough money for at least the next 16 years.''
''That's fine, '' Mum replied, ''but how will I manage after that?''
Jokes make us laugh and forget about stress for a while. The common statement that always we hear is “laugh is a best medicine”.

  29. Believe it or not, sleep plays a major role in your health, and lacked of it may cause harm to your body. Having a good night sleep means you can avoid this10 health problems. Wait, what is it again? Good night sleep? I thought this article is about sleeping all the time while you can. Dowh~ I don’t really sleep at night, so I’m pretty concern about my health after reading this article. I’m just going to state 5 effects from lack of sleep because this post will make you doze off if I state all of it. Need more? Just go to the respective web. These are some problems that you might face from lack of GOOD NIGHT sleep:
    1. You may become obese. Lack of sleep inhibits the secretion of hormone that stimulates appetite, in the name of Ghrelin.
    2. Diabetes might also have something to do with sleep because people with less than 5 hours are 2.5 times prone to diabetes while people with less than 6 hours sleep are 1.7 times more likely. No scientific explanation though.
    3. Your blood pressure will increase, and the risk of hypertension increase.
    4. You may be prone to depression. Lack of sleep=sleepy=depression=low self esteem.
    5. Death is nearer. Whoa, that’s scary! Regardless of the reason, people that sleep less are more prone to death. Oh, I see.

So, the conclusion is, sleep, if you don’t want to die!

  30. Brain is the most amazing thing god ever gave us. This small but wonderful small organ is the foundation of our life. It helps us in decision making, overcome problems and also do the ever-unentertaining math works. Like our body, brain needs exercises to make sure it can function well. It’s not like you need to weightlifting with you head. These are simpler exercise, because it just involves your daily activities, with a little twist. You can gain your brain alertness in 5 main cognitive functions – memory, attention, language, visual-spatial skills and executive function.
    1. Memory- memory is really important, for all cognitive activity such as reading, reasoning and others. Listening to music not just fun, but it can also boost your memory. Try listening to new songs, and memorize the lyrics at the same time.
    2. Brain attention affects your alertness to the situation around the world. To help brain to be more alert, try to change your daily routine. For example, take different route to your class or workplace so your brain can wake up from the same activity.
    3. Language challenges your ability to remember, also affecting you fluency. Language skill can be sharpening by in-depth reading. Don’t just read through words, read carefully. Words are easier to understand when they’re in context.
    4. Appreciation of this world depends on visual-spatial ability, which is the way we see things. When you enter your workplace or class, spot 5 things and try to remember it’s location. When you go out of the room, recall back. Then 2 hours later recall back.
    5. Decision making, hypothesis and problem solving needs executive function. Train this function by involve yourself in activity that involves problem solving such as video games. Then you have another reason to play games.

  31. Love is very common thing in life, but for some reasons, love could also be the, most complex thing in the world. Each person in the world has their own definition about love and based on that fact, we will have billion and trillion definitions of love only. But for me, loving family and friends are the easiest and the hardest thing to do. But then I realized that loving people should be simple and not as complicated as a tangling rope.....
I found that, most people are afraid to be hurt by their loved ones, and my advice to these people,
once, I was one of them, but then found out that the people I love are also human being like me, making mistakes is part of our life, we cannot expect them to be perfect just for the fact the perfection does not exist.
Take risk with the ones you love, if you trust them completely, you might get hurt so bad, but trusting them with the trust they deserve and taking the risk that they might not fulfilling your expectation will taught you how to love, care and trust them in a way that they deserve....

  32. I love coffee so much. Just thinking about a cup of hot, aromatic and freshly brewed coffee can make me salivate..But people are so prejudice about drinking coffee and it's effect to our health. they always say that the caffeine in coffee is not good and can cause a lot of health problems like this and that (which they don't even know what!) well people, a new researches about coffee shows that coffee brings MORE benefits in health than harming it:
    - One to three cups of caffeinated coffee daily can reduce diabetes risk by single digits. But having six cups or more each day slashed men's risk by 54% and women's by 30%.
    - People who drink coffee on a regular basis are up to 80% less likely to develop Parkinson's, the more they drink, the lower the risk.
    - two cups daily can translate to a 25% reduced risk of colon cancer, an 80% drop in liver cirrhosis risk, and nearly half the risk of gallstones.
    - There's also some evidence that coffee may help manage asthma and even control attacks when medication is unavailable, stop a headache, boost mood, and even prevent cavities.
So, to all the skeptics, stop thinking bad things about coffee, and starts your day with a fresh and warm coffee, and feel the pleasure yourself!

  33. Assalamualaikum madam Linda. I'm Norsukmawati Ishak.
There are 4 Mood Boosters for Good Health.
    1.DEVELOP A PASSION
We all need a reason to get out of bed in the morning, and not everyone is lucky enough to have a job they feel passionately about. So why not develop a passion for nature, for example, that will get you off the couch and out walking every day? Others find passion in art and never miss an opportunity to check out the latest exhibition.

The particular passion is unimportant; just so you have something that sets your heart racing.

    2.FOCUS ON OTHERS
We all have problems and many of them don't have an immediate solution.Suddenly we headaches and upset stomach disappear when we are working as a volunteer or just simply helping out a friend. Anything that gets we mind off the "me, me, me" track can only improve we outlook on life.

    3.HAVE FAITH
Faith is a difficult concept for many people, especially those who do not participate in organized religions.Think sometimes about family members and loved ones who have passed on, knowing that they would want we to have a happy, healthy life.

4.TAKE A BREAK FROM THE NEWS
Try every year to spend a week where we do not read, watch, or listen to the news. This is not about sticking we head in the sand. Rather, we find that we develop information overload after a while and become cynical. Taking a break from being constantly informed helps we refresh we mind and develop some hope in what seems like a very dark time in world history.

All of us deal with the stress of life in different ways - some become workaholics, others curl up into depression. The only sure thing is that we need to take care of whole beings - mind, body, and soul - if we are to have the fullest lives possible.
