Hi everyone.
ReplyDeleteSo if you ask me, I think TMM is rather enjoyable once you get to know the software in and out. Though TMM software is time consuming, and hectic at times. It is a simple and an effective way to learn basic english step by step.
Since I have been exposed to this software last semester, I do not find it as complicated as I did before.
TMM software should be continued. Thank you!

Morning everyone.
ReplyDeleteWell, what I think of the TMM software is that it has a good approach in giving lesson and improving our English language without teachers to facilitate around. It’s also a new way to appraise and measure students’ strength and weakness in certain aspects such as grammatical and even vocabs.
Although we are given limited time to complete our TMM task, I hope we can still perform well and give excellent results.

ReplyDeleteSo here is my thing, I bought a dozen of dvds last month (pirates, of course). But had not get any chance to see any of it. There is a lot of assignments, tests, and all that(you know better). And those movies are what I've been looking to for like many months before. I really had my eyes on them.
So in my desperate attempts to do that (watch them), I tried really hard finishing all those assignments, rushing all the projects, sacrificed my meals, sleeps and even the shower.
Finally, I managed to found enough time feeding that hunger of mine(I'd say this is one of my tension-releasing method; have another few more though). So I decided to go with this one; CHANGELING.
It is unforgettable; for its extraordinary story, for Angelina Jolie's haunting performance(eventhough its only in a single dimension), for its subtly beautiful cinematography, and for Clint Eastwood's masterful filmmaking.(Those not really my words, but its from profesional view so you can count on it)
I'm not ashamed and I won't lie, for like 3/4 of the movie; I'm tearing up. Yes, I do.
(I'm not a cry baby, I don't easily cry. Just to be clear) But what is more wonderful than a love of a mother struggling in her fight for her rights and how devastating it felt to lost the light of her life(her son).
It also disgusted me how a group of corrupted people hiding behind the curtain of justice to cover up their wrong doing. It was based on a true story happened in 1928 that was related to the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders.
Honestly I actually kinda feeling that they are making this stuff up. Because the story itself is very extraordinary(pretty distressing too). Then I googled it down and it turn out its actually true.
Guess Eastwood still has it. I highly recommend this movie, also Gran Torino and his award-winning Million Dollar Baby.
It has been really good babbling in here. So, good day everyone.
By the way, the TMM is intriguing as always.

It is really a long time do not try TMM already, I cannot adapt to it when first time I using TMM in this semester. But I believe time is my chance to practice and learn to master it, and improving my English at the same time. Besides, I do not satisfy about the computers performance in the computer laboratory, because errors always occur and wasting our time to wait or have to redo again. I hope that this problem can be solved in shortest time.

In my opinion, TMM software is an essential program to train student on how to improve their language. Besides, an adequate time is needed to be master in learning that software. Actually, TMM gave me some positive impact which is it improve my language (English language)and also improve my vocabulary. I hope that this could be the main method on teaching language instead of gaining knowledge.

I really don't know why such a worst thing can happen in UMP. UMP invest a lot of money in computer lab and government also pay a lots for the lab assistant salary but why the problem always occur in the lab and do not have the best solution for it?

If its not because it is part of our assesment, I would not bother to do it again this semester.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I think that TMM is one of the method to expose students in order to mprove their grammar as well as vocabulary. It is essential to students to complete the TMM because it can give many benefits to them. Although many problems occur during do the TMM, but I think it is very enjoyful. Thank you.
In my opinion, TMM is one of the good techniques in order to learn or to improve our english. This software is different and more interesting compare to the others.

ReplyDeleteTMM..? We had been expose to this software since last semester. It's true that this thing is very fun software. We feel free to learn many things about english language. It's also a very intelligent software because we be able to interact with it through many activities. But there are no perfect thing in this real world. Eventhough this TMM is a very high tech learning system, but stills have many things to improve. To run this software, we have to make sure that the internet connection is available and have a good network. From my experience, many time I'm facing with the same problem which is network problem. TMM will be hang for a long period and sometimes my marks for the activities that I've done were not save in the system. As a result, I have to redo it again. Huh..!! I hope all this problem will not effect this intelligent software reputation and hopefully all the errors will be eliminate.

Regarding to the practice of using the software called TMM in the lab last few days, I think it is easy for me to follow the instruction and do the the practice because there has short notes, media, sounds and so on....but sometimes the software suddenly stuck and some problem occurs make us too slow to finish it.. However, i still enjoy with the style of this self-access learning.thats all..

I believe that TTM is one of the good learning ways to improve our technical writing .Some time we feel shame when we answering the question wrongly especially during the class. Through TTM ,I believe that we can learn from mistake that we make and it also will increase the confident to answer the question.

Hi everyone,
ReplyDeletePersonally I think that TMM is an additional or intermediate tool for us to learn English in a proper way other than learn from our lecturer. This TMM consist of grammar workshop, vocabulary, oral workshop and many more where we have to finish it spontaneously. From this we will be able to know the level of our knowledge in this subject plus this will help and encourage us to improve our English level.
The only thing i am not satisfied with TMM is computer’s performance in the computer laboratory very slow. Therefore, I hope that this problem can be solved as soon as possible by the management by up grading the system in near future.
Lastly I hope TMM should be continued since it is an interesting and challenging task in order to improve our language efficiency.

Assalamualaikum…I hope you all have a nice day today..The rainy day today make me excited to post this comment, huhu… I ‘m think, I like TMM from the previous semester because this software is one of the best ways to learn English in ump and different from normal ways that we always use in a usual class. But the inadequate time to do the task and technical problem with this software always make troubled .so, I agree with what mastura said that “there are no perfect thing in this real world’s and for me even though nothing is perfect but that doesn’t mean nothing we can do to solve this problem to make it still useful for us. Anyway, I still believe we still have another ways to solve this problem because any problem occurred have its solving isn’t it?? Lastly I want to say, maybe we still have chance to finish ours TMM task before the due date of submitting if extra time will given from our lecturer for us. As all we know, actually we also don’t want the problem happened to us right??So I’m hope my opinion will be consider..hehe

Time is running out and never be replaced. Even we use the time machine, we can't get it back cause the machine is not exist. So, we have to appreciate the extra time given by madam. Thank you madam and I'm wishing you luck.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, TMM helps a lot in correcting or refreshing our mind about the grammar we learned during secondary school. As time goes by, the knowledge of grammar will also been "swept away". So, with the help of TMM, it will help to refreshing our memory about the things we learned in our English class.
However, when we were using TMM, we also faced system failure. To be honest, it was frustrating and annoying. Try to imagine everytime you wish to finish fast as time are limited, the system just won't be cooperative with you. Fortunately, I had finished my TMM in time.
Anyway, I do hope I can still use TMM in the future. It's fun though. That's all from me. Sayonara.

I think that TMM is fun and we can learn the grammar through doing the exercise. But compare with last semester, the TMM become more unstable because it will hang all the time. This has made us wasting time to wait the TMM ready to use back. Furthermore, we also can’t finish our TMM exercise on time. I hope the systems can be improved to make sure next batch student can enjoy the learning process by using TMM.

I do have another comment here. I think the time given for us is totally not fair and not enough for us to complete our tasks. Why did I say so? I have several reasons listed below which are also the same comments from my coursemate.
ReplyDelete1. We are not English people, we still in learning process, how could we complete the tasks in few hour for hundreds questions?
2. The time given is not fair since we are wasting more time on hanging PC and the systems itself.
3. We have less time to complete it since our class is always canceled due to some unavoidable reasons such as holiday etc.
Hope the current problem can be solved for next batch students. This is my previous comments:

TMM is enjoyable and easy to learn. Using TMM in this semester more exciting because it is more focus on grammar and sentences practice. I like using TMM as an exercise to improve my English. In the other hand, TMM provide guidelines to me while doing the TMM.

The reason why i said like this is that from doing the exercises using TMM software it can improve our english language proficiency. It is also a simple and an effective way to learn basic english step by step. Although it requires us to do a lot of questions but it will enable us to measure our strength and weakness in certain aspects such as grammar and vocabulary.
It is fun and enjoyable to learn english through TMM because I have not use this kind of method to learn english language before.This is a good way to learn the language.
The only thing i am not satisfied with TMM is the computer’s performance in the computer laboratory is very slow. Therefore, I hope that this problem can be solved as soon as possible by the management by up grading the system in near future.

ReplyDeleteTMM? Just like its name; Tell Me More, I've learn more skills to enhance my grammar understanding and essay's writing skills since this semester we are focusing on both main points.
TMM is a very helping software in order to learn English, but on the other hands there are several things that I would like to state my dissatisfaction.
Most of the time the TMM system will get 'hang' and lead to time wasting since we have to answer more than hundreds questions. Time also limited; to answer hundreds questions within two hours, its hard for us because we are not born with Englishman's blood.
Besides all that, TMM has given me the opportunity to learn and enhance my English understanding in a new methods. It sure is fun when we get the correct answer.
I'm hoping that in near future the TMM system well be improved. Upgrade the system.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, TMM is a good practice for me to improve my grammar and my technical writting. TMM can be fun but sometime it also can be frustrating. This is because, it will hang and wasting our to wait for the system to ready. More over, we can't finish our TMM in time this is because due to the system's problem and the excercise is too many. I hope for the next time, TMM's system can be improve so students will not wasting their time to wait and their work can be finish on time.

The sentence practice is painful.LOL
78 is not a little number. However aside from the boringness the TMM is still a good application to improve our english.

ReplyDeleteIn my opnion Tell Me More is a very good technology education software because it can teach and guide us to learn English Language without the help of a lecturer. However, I prefer a person to a tool to teach me English. A lecturer can give me the personal contact compared to a computer. A lecturer can correct the mistakes I make and give me examples based on his or her experience. I need a person to scold me and to make me memorize things more effectively. Sorry to say, TMM for me is just a practice in the text book that I can buy at any bookstore.
Moreover, TMM is quiet troublesome because we need to access it only in the lab. After going to lab, we must register or log it with username. Sometimes after logging in a technical problem crop up and there would be problems. Server failure and computer hang are some other addtitional problems. I think text book is better than TMM because textbook can be referred to, at anytime, present or future. TMM is just temporary data because we cannot refer to it in time to come. I think the publisher of TMM need to modify or do changes in TMM to make it easier.
Lastly, like I've said before I certainly would prefer a teacher or lecturer to TMM, because I can ask directly and immediately, where else in TMM I need to click here and there. So I can summarize that TMM have pros and cons, but I found that there are more cons than pros. Anyway, this is just my opnion. Please do not have any heart feelings.
