  1. The Great Wall Myth

Here’s a fact that I found while browsing on the internet yesterday. It is common mistake of many people to say that The Great wall of China is visible from outer space. It is too thin to be noticed from such a great distance. Only two man-made structures visible from space which are The Pyramids of Giza and the Hoover Dam. A more controversial question is whether the Wall is visible from low earth orbit, an altitude of as little as 100 miles (160 km). NASA claims that it is barely visible, and only under nearly perfect conditions; it is no more conspicuous than many other man-made objects. Other authors have argued that due to limitations of the optics of the eye and the spacing of photoreceptors on the retina, it is impossible to see the wall with the naked eye, even from low orbit, and would require visual acuity of 20/3 (7.7 times better than normal). Incidentally, if one could have seen the Great Wall from the moon, one ought to be able to see most of the roads in the world as well, given that they in total length far surpasses that of the great wall, and commonly are even wider. This is again not the case. I have been to Beijing few years back and I was very excited to see with my bare eyes the one of seven wonders but sadly I only managed to climb the first hundred steps of the Great Wall stairs and got tired. However, it is a great experience and I certainly loooove travelling. =D

They said music can help you express or show your emotions or moods. The right genre of music can comfort us in a various situations depends on our emotion needs.

So it would be nice if a there is a music player that will play the music our hearts desired automatically at a time.

And much to our surprise, such technology actually had been developed. XPod, a music player device that can sense it user's emotions and pick a suitable music for them.

The XPod concept is based on the idea of automating much of the interaction between the music player and its user. The XPod project introduces a "smart" music player that learns its user's preferences, emotions and activity, and tailors its music selections accordingly.

Of course it needs a train first in order to monitor a number of external variables to determine its user's levels of activity, motion and physical states to make an accurate model of the task its user is undertaking at the moment and predict the genre of music would be appropriate.

After that, its ready to use it internal's algorithm to make an educated selection of the song that would best fit its user's emotion and situation.

And we thought that combination of cold steel and silicon cant never understand human beings and their emotions.

  3. To tell you the truth, I really have no idea at all in inventing stuff for the Technical English project. So there I was, surfing the internet late at night hoping that creative idea will finally come to me.

After almost an hour browsing variety of websites, I still can’t make any decision on what to invent. However, I get to find some interesting history of inventions around the world. One of them is the fantastic ice-cream cone.

The weather is warming up in Amsterdam which brings to mind creative problem solving and the invention of the ice cream cone. In September 1904 at the St. Louis World’s Fair an ice cream vendor ran out of dishes for serving his ice cream. He was going to have to close for the day until he acquired more dishes. However, his neighboring vendor, Ernest Hamwi, was selling fresh waffles and saw an opportunity. Hamwi rolled his waffles and offered it as a way to contain the ice cream - and the ice cream cone was born.

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go. So, hang in there Iqah! Soon, ideas will rush through your brain. Hopefully..

hi guys !,it's me again, kamal.

Today i'm going to share something about golf balls. Do you notice why a golf ball is different from other balls?

Correct! they have dimples. So why do they have dimples? Because dimples are cute..hehe no, wrong answer! The right answer is that dimples provide greater aerodynamic lift and consistency of flight than a smooth ball. The dimple pattern helps to provide a consistent rotation of the ball after itis struck.

    Ok that's all for now.

    Title: Ghost Stories

Are you afraid of the dark? Haunting and Real Ghost Sightings are becoming very common. However I am doubtful if it may be a decoy of what is really going on in reality, or is it a sign of the last days? If the paranormal energy is steadily increasing on this planet does that mean we will eventually be overcomed by spiritual entities? I think haunting come in all forms.Sometimes, the real may just appear fake to our naked eyes. However, we should not take it in vein. For we will never know when the real will appear right befor us. In my opinion there are spirits that exist which is not visible to the human eye.

What Is the Right Way to Brush?

The proper brushing takes at least two minutes — that's right, 120 seconds! Most adults do not come close to brushing that long. To get a feel for the time involved, try using a stopwatch. To properly brush your teeth, use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gum line, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration.

There are so many parts of our teeth that are most likely to be left out, and are jus left to be fermented, and thus resulting to rotten tooth.

It is so important to brush our teeth daily and nt jus fow one or two seconds, instead for about a solid 120 seconds.

    Happy brushing!

    So, does it worth it?
despite all the efforts, is it necessary figthing this losing battle against nature?

Of course, some of you will come out with all the polution reducing method and all. But how many people really do all that stuff?
How many people share vehicle to work?
How many people really reduce their air conditioning usage?
Even in Malaysia, people still cut down the forest recklessly, despite having all the so-called government bodies to control it.

But, if we dont cut down forest for carpark, where we suppose to park our car? The worlwide population is expanding every year too.

    Familiar with this word,'SLUM'?
We maybe know it by the word 'SETINGGAN'
I think that is the closest example we can get in here, Malaysia.

Ok, so this slum, imagine the back alley of Kuala lumpur's. Then imagine a lot of back alley connecting converting into a town of back alley! That what its like. It was stated that "Most slums lack clean water, electricity, sanitation and other basic services.[7]"

People live there usually very poor or socially disadvantaged. They'll do anything for a living.

How can they not? Take Mumbai for example, 60% of its population live in slum, which only cover 6% of the city's land.

If you want to be more clear about the life in the slum and the people live there, you can search the documentary from Discovery Channel.

Or you can watch the most nominated film at the Academy Award in 2009, 'Slumdog Millionaire'. The film succeed to potray how life is like in a slum. They won the Best Picture after all.

  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket

What I know about cricket is a bat-and-ball team sport that originated in Southern England. A cricket match is contested by two teams usually of 11 players each. The bowler is a player from the fielding team. The batsman is a player from the opposing team and the fielders are players who retrive the ball in an effort to stop the batsman scoring runs. In professional cricket this can be anything from a match limited to 20 overs per side to a game played over 5 days. Depending on the length of the game being played, there are different rules that govern how a game is won, lost, drawn or tied.

What do you know about stress?? Stress is a feeling that's create when we react to particular events. It's the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing to meet a tough situation with focus, strength, stamina, and heightened alertness.
Stress has good and bat stress. A little of this stress can help keep you on your toes, ready to rise to a challenge. And the nervous system quickly returns to its normal state, standing by to respond again when needed. But, the over-loaded stress can make body's reserves, leave a person feeling depleted or overwhelmed, weaken the body's immune system, and cause other problems. To keep the stress under control, we must take a stand against overscheduling, be realistic, get a good night's sleep, learn to relax, treat your body well, watch what you're thinking and last but not least solve the little problems.

What is lighting? Did you noticed about lighting safety? lighting is big charge of electricity that can reach from clouds to the ground. It can kill or hurt the people. Scientists think that lightning hits somewhere on the earth about 100 times every second. Lightning can strike almost anywhere. Many people are struck before and after the rain falls. Lightning safety experts have invented a "lightning safety position" that is very important to know if you are caught in a thunder storm and you can't find a shelter. This position looks hard, but it could save your life. There are several reasons for doing it. Firstly,
It makes you a smaller target, then with your heels together, if lightning hits the ground, it goes through the closest foot, up to your heel and then transfers to the other foot and goes back to the ground again. If you don't put your feet together, lightning could go through your heart and kill you and if you put your hands over your ears to protect them from thunder.

  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health

Health can be divided into two which are physical health and mental health. Physical fitness is good body health, and is the result of regular exercise, proper diet and nutrition, and proper rest for physical recovery. Mental health refers to an individual's emotional and psychological well-being. Exercise is the performance of movements in order to develop or maintain physical fitness and overall health. Physical exercise is considered important for maintaining physical fitness including healthy weight, building and maintaining healthy bones, muscles, and joints, promoting physiological well-being, reducing surgical risks and strengthening the immune system. Proper nutrition is just as, if not more, important to health as exercise. When the body falls short of proper nutrition, it gets into starvation mode developed through evolution and depends onto fat content for survival.

  15. The News Strait Times: Diarrhoea a major child killer despite easy treatment, WHO.

Here I would like to share some of knowledge that i have read. Nearly two million children die of diarrhoea each year, even though treating the ailment is relatively simple and "almost miraculous", the World Health Organization said on Tuesday.

Research into childhood diarrhoea has declined since the 1980s, keeping pace with dwindling funds for a disease that nonetheless accounts for 20 percent of all child deaths, the WHO said in a statement.
"Funds available for research into diarrhoea are much lower than those devoted to other diseases that cause comparatively few deaths," it said.

The most immediate challenge is to ensure all children suffering from diarrhoea can access a simple, 25-year-old treatment consisting of zinc tablets and a mixture known as Oral Rehydration Salts or ORS, said Dr. Olivier Fontaine, a WHO medical officer specialising in child health.

The WHO estimates some 50 million children have been saved thanks to the mixture, which costs only 30 US cents (25 euro cents) per child.

"ORS is essentially a pinch of salt and a handful of sugar mixed with clean water," Fontaine said.

"Having seen, first hand, the devastation that childhood diarrhoea can cause and also the almost miraculous, life-saving power of ORS and zinc, I certainly hope that we'll receive the support we need to come up with answers to some of the key questions that remain," he said.

The international Red Cross also warned Tuesday that diarrhoeal diseases, such as cholera, are on the rise and increasingly a major cause of diseases and deaths throughout the world.

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies noted that in 2007 and 2008, some 60 percent of requests by Red Cross societies for emergency relief funds were related to outbreaks of diarrhoeal diseases.

"This is about 35 percent more compared to similar statistics in 2006," it added.

Uli Jaspers, head of the IFRC water and sanitation team, said: "We have noticed a significant increase in the number of operations undertaken to respond to acute situations, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, most recently in Zimbabwe."

The cholera epidemic in Zimbabwe has claimed more than 4,000 lives and more than 89,000 people have the disease, the World Health Organization said in a new toll published Monday.

  16. As my new obsession is to watch the House series, I went and search for a term frequently used in that story which is DNR. Check this info out:

In the United States, a do not resuscitate, or DNR, order is a written order from a doctor that resuscitation should not be attempted if a person suffers cardiac or respiratory arrest.

Resuscitate is a procedure of restoring to life using either medical equipment or CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).

Such an order may be instituted on an advance directive from a person, or from someone entitled to make decisions on their behalf. Such orders can also be instituted on a physician's own initiative, usually when resuscitation would not alter the ultimate outcome of a disease, and is designed to prevent unnecessary suffering.

Any person who does not wish to undergo life sustaining treatment can get a DNR order, although DNR is more commonly done when a person who has a terminal illness wishes to have a more "natural" death without painful or invasive medical procedures.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2009/feb/15/earth-galaxy-planet-life

I beleive that earth like planets can be discovered. i am very sure that if earth is present, then there is certainly many other earth like planets as well.

According to the astronomers and NASA, they believe that there are planets which can support life in our universe. Statistically, they stated that there might be 100 billion Earth-like planets in our very own galaxy, The Milky Way. And according to a researcher at the Carnegie Institute for Science in Washington, there is roughly one Earth-like planet for every star that is similar to our own sun. NASA is going to launch a space telescope, called Kepler, into to space to search for planets that are similar to Earth. It will join force with the European Space Agency’s Corot telescope to look for Earth-like planets. They are very sure that these space telescopes will find planets which are similar to earth and it might be inhabited with organisms which are more common to things that were found on our Earth three or four billion years ago.

After you read this article, you’ll be surprised to know that you can whiten your teeth
naturally, without the use of artificial cleansers and man-made chemicals. To avoid the need of whitening your teeth you can also take preventive measures. It is seen that teeth become yellow with age.
Your diet intake also plays a major role in determining your teeth shades. Some of the things that you will want to avoid include coffee, smoking, and tea.
Although you may not realize it, one of the worst things for your teeth is chips and wafers. Sometimes yellowing of your teeth may also be hereditary.
However, it is easy job to whiten our teeth.
Just rinsing your mouth with a 75% lemon juice and 25% salt solution is known to work wonders for teeth whitening. Some of the best foods and drinks that will prevent bacteria from forming include celery and straight cranberry juice.
Believe it or not, dark chocolate also reduces the amount of bacteria that can be found in one’s mouth. So next time you see your teeth turning yellowish you need not shell out those bucks for your teeth whitening appointment.

  20. Hye!!! Do you know how siblings can affect your relationship

TIME, ATTENTION and LOVE is what parents need to give to each of their children right?
Simply looking at most families' photo albums you can see that this is indeed the case. Looking through these albums, one can see that there are usually many pictures of the birth and first year of their first-born child. For the second child, there are fewer pictures. And, from the third child on, one may have a hard time finding pictures of them in the album.

This is because parents are thrilled when the first child is born. Their enthusiasm reduces afterwards. This has an enormous impact on that child and his or her later life. It is a common observation that, in most families, it is usually the first-born that has the greatest "success" in later and adult life. This jealousy and enmity continues later also and comparison kills the relationship.

Do you think it happened in your family???

  21. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Winslow_Taylor

Have you ever heard about Frederick Winslow Taylor? Frederick Winslow Taylor was an American engineer who sought to improve industrial efficiency. He is regarded as the father of scientific management, and was one of the first manaement consultants.

He was born on 20th March 1856 to a wealthy Quaker family in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Late winter of 1915 Taylor caught pneumonia and one day after his 59th birthday, on March 21, he died.

Taylor was the first man in recorded historywho deemed work deserving of systemic observation and study. On Taylor's 'scientific management' rests, above all the tremendous surge of affluence in the last 75 years which has lifted the working masses in the developed countries well above any level recorded before, even for the well-to-do. Taylor though the Isaac Newton (or perhaps the Archimedes) of the science of work, laid only first foundations, however. Not much has been added to them since - even though he has been dead all of 60 years.

Taylor believed that the industrial management of his day was amateurish, that management could be formulated as an academic discipline, and that the best results would come from the partnership between a trained and qualified management and a cooperative and innovative workforce. Each side needed the other, and there was no need for trade unions.

Taylor used Brandeis's term in the title of his monograph The Principles of Scientific Management, published in 1911. Eastern Rate Case propelled Taylor's ideas to the forefront of the management agenda. Taylor wrote to Brandeis "I have rarely seen a new movement started with such great momentum as you have given this one." Taylor's approach is also often referred to, as Taylor's Principles, or frequently disparagingly, as Taylorism. Taylor's scientific management consisted of four principles:

1)Replace rule-of-thumb work methods with methods based on a scientific study of the tasks.
2)Scientifically select, train, and develop each employee rather than passively leaving them to train themselves.
3)Provide "Detailed instruction and supervision of each worker in the performance of that worker's discrete task" (Montgomery 1997: 250).
4)Divide work nearly equally between managers and workers, so that the managers apply scientific management principles to planning the work and the workers actually perform the tasks.

    TIPS FOR DIET...

Dieting is not easy. If it were, we would probably all be thin. Since we are not, here are some tips that successful people use to lose weight so that others can benefit too.

First, drink 8-10 glasses of water each day

Okay, for many people this is a big problem. Water doesn’t taste all that great generally because water doesn’t really taste like anything. Drinking water 8 to 10 times each day gets easier the more you actually do it. To begin with, you should drink a glass of water in the morning first thing, before you eat.

Secondly, don’t forget to take a breakfast

Do not skip breakfast. If you need to go to bed a little earlier so that you can get up 20 minutes earlier each morning do it! Breakfast is so important to your good health and to weight control. Eating breakfast is not only good for overall weight loss, it will help you stay on track with your diet the rest of the day.

Lastly, eat at least 3 meals and 2 snacks each day

This can be one of the hardest adjustments to make. After all, you are busy! You already have a full-plate. When do you have time to worry about filling your plate with more frequent meals? Just like eating breakfast will increase your metabolism, so will eating more often.

Feeling troubled over what color to wear?
What color makes you look good?

A popular color liked by most

emotionally opposite of red & yellow, it brings about a very soothing & relaxing feel, pleasant to the eyes. Naturally refreshing in mood, it's a good choice for daytime wear.

    Pink
    the feminine color for girls

Similar to blue; it's soothing and pleasant to the eyes. Naturally sweet in mood, it has a lasting girly appeal. Girls in pink tend to portrait a very sweet & pleasant image, always attractive to the guys

    Red
Most visible and lively of all colors, it creates attraction and excitement. The wearer naturally portraits an image of excitable, energetic, enthusiasm and confidence.

    black
    making the wearer appearing slimmer

    yellow

  25. The Sweet Life Without Anxiety

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Tim Burton, is one of the greatest films ever made for both the art film and mainstream movie industries. The book-based film managed to bring across the reality of different kinds of anxiety in children. According to psychologists, child anxiety is characterized by overwhelming fear, worry and apprehension. In the film, some of the children who entered Willy Wonka's confectionery factory exhibited some forms of anxiety. As the story goes, Willy Wonka announced that five golden tickets would be placed inside chocolates made and sold by his company. Whoever found the tickets would be allowed a rare chance to enter and see how the factory works. One of the lucky ticket holders, Violet Beauregard, the competitive and athletic girl, exhibited performance anxiety. Psychological experts say that this type of anxiety is described to be an overwhelming fear of not being on the top or not being first place. Violet Beauregard, which was seen in the movie, was a goal-getter. Trained by her mom, she managed to amass multitudes of trophies which helped her to go for more. Also, there are number of movie montage that showed the idea of performance anxiety which was seen in Violet. It is also noteworthy to include that her mother helped ignite the performance anxiety in Violet as she always push her to her limit.

Just like in the movie, many children in real life tend to be overtly conscious of their performance and self-worth. While many children love being in the limelight or being acknowledged as the best in what they do, some actually do get exhausted due to the chronic pressure of having to always perform. Performance anxiety can also be caused by the high and unrealistic realistic standards set by parents like what Mrs. Beauregard did in the movie. These pressures can escalate to a point where it has a negative impact on a child's development, engendering a feeling of tension and anxiety.

Another character exhibiting signs of child anxiety was Veruca Salt, the rich girl who always got what she wanted from her doting father. One time, she asked for a horse from a father, and he willingly gave in to would always give into the whims of his daughter. Social anxiety, or the overwhelming care on one's personal status was exhibited in the part where she asked for one of the squirrels working as a nut sorter for Willy Wonka. Although she did not have any use for a trained squirrel, she demanded the purchase of one from her father believing that their social status and wealth entitles them to anything that she desires.

This type of anxiety is present in children everywhere. Social groups or cliques in school are formed because its members believe that they are privileged and deserve to be set apart from the rest of the population.

Movies can act as a mirror of what happens in real life. In this sense, the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sheds some light on a part of a child's life that can threaten their development, educating viewers on the adverse effect of anxiety on children. Whether or not they take these lessons to heart is entirely up to them.

This article features the reality of child anxiety as seen in the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This also exhibits the negative effects of this chronic care that can impede the normal flow of child activities.

    that's all,thank you...

    that's all for today.

  27. Firstly, I like to apologized to Mdm. Linda. You clearly stated that to do our "blogging thing" on Monday, which is yesterday. However, I can't managed to online. As you guys know, the internet network here.. OBVIOUSLY have problems.

So, interesting news of the day (for me) is:
"Fossil sea monster's bite makes T-Rex look feeble!"

You guys ever watch "Jurassic Park"? The movie hit the blockbuster in 1993. (Well, for those who don't, you can go check it out.)

    Anyway, back to the news.

It seems that, there's "something" larger and even have stronger bites compared to T-Rex. Predator X's bite was more than 10 times more powerful than any modern animal and four times the bite of a T-Rex, it said of the fossil, reckoned at 147 million years old. Alligators, crocodiles and sharks all now have fearsome bites.

Wow.. If Predator X exists today, we, the human beings, were like Chipmores Cookies for them. Yum yum..

To read more on the news, do click the link below. There's a picture illustrating how big is Predator X, but it didn't clear draw out the whole body of the "thing". Anyway, hope you enjoy the news.

I have read an article about a woman being shooting by his neighbor when she climb up a tree to pluck the food. The careless man who shoots her unintentionally claimed that he heard the rustling sound on the tree and thought it was a monkey. Luckily, she was hospitalized immediately after the event and she is in stable condition. It is a very terrible event for that woman.

If you thought, “Lightning!” then hats off to you. But I had a more illuminating answer in mind. The air around a lightning bolt is superheated to about five times the temperature of the sun. This sudden heating causes the air to expand faster than the speed of sound, which compresses the air and forms a shock wave; we hear it as thunder.

    Eczema

Eczema is one of the skin problems. Usually people with eczema will feel very itchy and when you scratch it, your skin will became red and inflame. Eczema can occur to babies, little kids, and also adults. Usually, people can get eczema because of family history. It is in your gene. If one of your families has eczema or asthma, the probability that you can have it is high. Eczema is not contagious like other sickness but it cannot be cured. But still, it can be managed and can avoid the itchy from getting worse.

Here are some tips that I can shared on how to care for your skin for people who have eczema.
1.Limit contact with things that can give irritation to skin.
2.Wear gloves to protect the skin on your hands.
3.Wear clothes made of cotton or a cotton blend
4.Care for your skin in the bath or shower.

7.Avoid scratching or rubbing the itchy area.
8.Avoid getting too hot and sweaty
9.Learn how to manage stress in your life.

    Spike in dengue cases

I’m sure everyone has heard about dengue, it is a very common disease in our country. This disease have been happened in our country since long time ago, government health department have always reminded or told citizen about the way to prevent this disease. Furthermore, they also carry out campaign to raise the awareness of citizen to this disease. But, the number of dengue cases is still arising in our country.

Some of the citizen always neglects the seriousness of this disease until their family member diagnoses dengue. Actually they can prevent this disease happen by simple cleaning their housing area. As I know that, dengue can cause death when it reaches serious stage. We should prevent this disease happen before we lost our family member or even ourselves. Regret is useless when the patient diagnoses dengue and it is in the serious stage.

    Prevent is better than cure.

    hi...
If you have ever wondered about why people have to sleep or what causes dreams, then read on. The article help us to find out all about sleep and what it does for us.

    Characteristics of Sleep
We all know how sleep looks -- when we see someone sleeping, we recognize the following characteristics:

    * If possible, the person will lie down to go to sleep.

    * The person's eyes are closed.

    * The person doesn't hear anything unless it is a loud noise.

    * The person breathes in a slow, rhythmic pattern.

    * The person's muscles are completely relaxed. If sitting up, the person may fall out of his or her chair as sleep deepens.

    * During sleep, the person occasionally rolls over or rearranges his or her body. This happens approximately once or twice an hour. This may be the body's way of making sure that no part of the body or skin has its circulation cut off for too long a period of time.

In addition to these outward signs, the heart slows down and the brain does some pretty funky things.

    check it out..

I'm back to talk about smoking. Read this before I proceed.

“I smoke when I feel sad,
    I smoke when I feel lonely;
I smoke when I feel angry,
I smoke when I feel hopeless."

This is the expression of the smokers when I am asking them why they smoke. Smoking is the most difficult addiction to break. According to WHO statistics, smoking kills more people than any diseases in this world. With all this scientific information readily available, why do people continue to smoke? Do they ever know the health effect of smoke?

I never touch any smoke but it does no mean I am not a smoker. This is because sometime I am exposed to the second hand smoke too. I am really not satisfied with this because it will affect my health problem. We cannot denied that smoking will help smoker felt relax and give confidence when in difficulty but I wish to advise the entire smoker to stop smoking. It is because they are not only harming themselves but also endanger other people at surrounding.

Are you wasting your time? Asking big questions is a dangerous business. We never know how big the answers might be. So the temptation to avoid asking ourselves if we are wasting our life is understandable, while we get on doing more of whatever it is we do.

First, we have to identify our goal of life and then plan for it. It is not advisable to wasting your precious time on nonsense stuff such as gambling. Next, we must always thinking positively and remember the keyword of simple life is “Don’t Worry Be Happy”! Nevertheless, wanting to put something back into society is a common enough instinct for people who feel they have been wasters. As a good student, I have to maintain my good thinking because it can help me in my study. I guess I have to reach a final point where something is worth it just for me.

But they usually use an improper way to achieve their target. I feel sad for them because they make their body system become worst. In my opinion, a healthy life is most important. 48. Hi we meet again.

Just so you know, I have such an interest in the study of living things aka biology. So below is a brief fact, an introduction on the human heart that I read in the National Geography website.

The heart is the body's engine room, responsible for pumping life-sustaining blood via a 60,000-mile-long (97,000-kilometer-long) network of vessels.

The organ works ceaselessly, beating 100,000 times a day, 40 million times a year—in total clocking up three billion heartbeats over an average lifetime. It keeps the body freshly supplied with oxygen and nutrients, while clearing away harmful waste matter.

The fetal heart evolves through several different stages inside the womb, first resembling a fish's heart, then a frog's, which has two chambers, then a snake's, with three, before finally adopting the four-chambered structure of the human heart.

  49. I am sure every one of you reading this article has experienced déjà vu in your life.

Déjà vu "already seen"; also called paramnesia, from Greek or promnesia, is the experience of feeling sure that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously (an individual feels as though an event has already happened or has happened in the near past), although the exact circumstances of the previous encounter are uncertain.

The experience of déjà vu seems to be quite common among adults and children alike; in formal studies, 70% of people report having experienced it at least once. References to the experience of déjà vu are also found in literature of the past, indicating it is not a new phenomenon.

On the other hand, Jamais vu is a term in psychology (from French, meaning "never seen") which is used to describe any familiar situation which is not recognized by the
    observer.

    The Side Effects of Antidepressants

We all know that some of the medicine has side effect on human’s body. But for this antidepressants only cause side effect on certain people’s body. It’s because not every person can suit with every medicine, our body has different immune system. So if anyone here is taking antidepressants and found that there is side effect, don feel panic coz there are few types of antidepressants. What you can do is consult doctor and ask he or she to recommend antidepressants which suit your body systems.
Nowadays, many people use to become their own doctor which means they consume medicine that they feel is suitable for them. They didn’t go for doctor consultation, they just go to pharmacy and buy those medicine. In my opinion, this situation is not a healthy because those people only know briefly for the medicine. And this may cause problem for their own health, some of the medicine will be a poison if with high dosage. I would like to encourage everyone here, please go for doctor consultation if not feeling well, let doctor help you to choose which kind of medicine is suit you. Don’t worsen your health by saving the little amount of money for doctor consultation fees.

Satay Kajang used to be available only in Kajang but Hj Samuri’s satay outlets had been expanding like nobody’s business. Now you can even find Satay Kajang Hj Samuri outlet at the Dengkil rest area along the highway to and from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The choice of satays (skewed marinated meat grilled over burning charcoal served with peanut sauce) nowadays also are quite amazing when thinking about it. Chicken and beef satay used to be the only choices available traditionally but now you can have even tripe satay, fish satay, rabbit meet satay, deer meet satay (RM3.50 per stick) and you should not miss Hj Samuri’s satay. I can’t explain how good it is. You have to try it to appreciate it. It is simply delicious!

I like to share about the topic says the shadow tell us a story. When we walk in the day, we'll see how 'it' will follow us as it is created by the sun. Shadow mean ourselves. It also can called our twin. Do not be afraid when the shadow tell us the story, means that the shadow do what we do...so that, just do the right thing as long you have a shadow.

    Thank you.

  63. Lately I love to read about our new prime minister. He's got quite an amazing background since his late father was also a prime minister once. For me, I don't really care about who will be our prime minister as long as he got such an incredible leadership I have no doubt in following him. That's all for this time. Adips amigos.

  64. For the last day, I want to continue to talk about amazing facts about the earth

    Is Earth a sphere?

Because the planet rotates and is more flexible than you might imagine, it bulges at the midsection, creating a sort of pumpkin shape. The bulge was lessening for centuries but now, suddenly, it is growing, a recent study showed. Accelerated melting of Earth’s glaciers is taking the blame for the gain in equatorial girth.

The gravity on Mars is 38 percent of that found on Earth at sea level. So a 100-pound person on Earth would weigh 38 pounds on Mars. Based on NASA’s present plans, it’ll be decades before this assumption can be observationally proved, however.

  66. How long is a Martian year?

It’s a year long, if you’re from Mars. To an earthling, it’s nearly twice as long. The Red Planet takes 687 Earth days to go around the sun — compared with 365 days for Earth. Taking into account Mars’ different rotational time calendars on Mars would be about 670 days long with some leap days needed to keep things square. If you find one, please mail it to me. I’m curious how they worked out the months, given they have two moons.

    Hello everyone,

Here is another article that I would like to share with you guys. Lately, I watched a movie that was related to psychological trauma. There are different people in this world who suffer from different kinds of phobia such as afraid of heights, afraid of water, afraid of fire and many more. Here are some simple findings of mine about psychological trauma and how people react to it.

Basically, Psychological trauma is a type of damage to the psyche that occurs as a result of a traumatic event. I believe that when that trauma leads to posttraumatic stress disorder, damage may involve physical changes inside the brain and to brain chemistry, which affect the person's ability to cope with stress.

Usually, a traumatic event involves a single experience, or an enduring or repeating event or events, that completely overwhelm the individual's ability to cope or integrate the ideas and emotions involved with that experience. The sense of being overwhelmed can be delayed by weeks or years, as the person struggles to cope with the immediate danger. Trauma can be caused by a wide variety of events, but there are a few common aspects. There is frequently a violation of the person's familiar ideas about the world and of their human rights, putting the person in a state of extreme confusion and insecurity. This is also seen when people or institutions depended on for survival violate or betray the person in some unforeseen way. I realise that this type of cases occurs in many different people nowadays.

Looks like these are the information that I am able to share with you at the moment. I hope to get other new interesting topics that can be informative for us. Thanks.

    Hello everyone,

I would like to share about a horror story book that I read recently. The title of this book is The Ring. This story is about a newly shifted mother and son. They had a bad experience at their older house and this was the cause for them to move away from this house. But things did not change as the evil spirit tried to occupy the son's body so that it'll get the love and the attention of a mother. This is because of the past life of the dead girl where the girl's own mother killed her at the age of 5 due to poverty. The mother of the son struggled to save her son from the evil spirit. At one point, the mother decided to sacrifice herself to save her son. Finally her love towards her son helped her to destroy the evil spirit which has been haunting them for so long. This story was very touching and horrifying as well. I understand the value of a mother and true love will save anyone from any danger. Thank you.

    Hello,

Dress code is being one of the major problems among the teenagers now a days. The title of an article that I am going to comment is 'Students, Parents Bare Claws Over Dress Codes'. According to the article around twenty three students had been suspended from school for wearing the wrong clothes. I would like to comment that parents should concern on their children dress code. They should play a role by making sure that they wears a proper costume to a place. Parents should be able to advice their children. On the other hand, teenagers must be able to think. They should know their limits during dressing up. As we know short skirts don’t meet the school dress code. So, teenagers should stop wearing short skirts to school. It is not that they can't wear at all, but they must know to which place they can wear it. Our appearance and dressing gives the first impression about our attitude to others. Thank you.

Today I have read an article. It looks interesting and I think I should share about it with you all. The source of this article is from the News Canada.

Before I share this message, I strongly believe that the feeling of laziness is one of the characters that always disturb our mind and make us being inactive in our daily life. We usually faced this problem when we are so tired and lack of energy. Commonly, these kinds of the situation happen during mid-afternoon time because at this moment we always run out of energy and no mood to do any work.

So, today I found out some tips which can help us to refreshed ourselves, make us more alert and focused. I am conceive that this information will be useful especially students like us.

First of all, we need to get some fresh air. For an example, go outdoor for a few minutes where we take a walk or maybe we can get some other form of activity during the lunch time. Next, drink a lot of water. This is to prevent us from feeling sluggish. It also mentioned us to choose our lunch wisely. This is because too much of food, may cause us to feel sleepy afterwards. Finally, it advisable to have a snack because low blood sugar will makes us lack of energy and difficulty in concentrating. Thank you.

This time, I have come up with an article about how to be a millionaire. This article was mind capturing to me as this a dream of most of us. Thus, I decided to explore the article till the end to discover the hidden truths which can transform an ordinary person into a millionaire. There are five points mainly highlighted in this article. Initially, we are required to set our sights on where we are heading to. This will help us to focus on our target clearly and therefore we will work towards our target. Next, we will need to educate ourselves. This can be best explained as there are some people avoid investing just because they don't get it. Due to this, they must be financially literate. Thirdly, we must understand that passion pays off. The millionaires across the world say they never would have been successful if their vocation wasn't something they cared about. Beside this, we advised to grow our money. We must set aside some money for the sole purpose of investing it where it will grow dramatically. And the last tip is we must be able to take risk which means no guts, no glory. We must utilize the opportunities around us and at the mean time we must prepare ourselves to take risk. This would help us learn more about financial issues. That's all about this article and I believe this would be helpful to those who are aimed to be one if the world's millionaire. Good luck guys! Thank you.

Hi everyone, today I come with new information. Before I share about it, I would like to ask that does anyone know a diamond will break if you hit it with a hammer. Its sounds weird right because we only heard that diamond are very hard. But it’s true.

As we all know, a diamond is the hardest natural substance on earth. But then it will simply vanish if placed in an oven and the temperature is raised to about 763 degrees.

Most diamonds are found in volcanic rock. A diamond is 58 times harder than the next hardest mineral on earth, corundum. We have been heard before this that usually diamonds was used to cut the other diamonds. But actually, diamonds are brittle. If you hit one hard with a hammer, it will shatter. Thank you.

I would like to share a article that i have read earlier. In that article it highlights out that the situation where now the entire student can't find a job after graduates from university level. There are a few factors that might contribute to these phenomena. I think one of the reasons is the course that offers in university are no more suit the market demands. For example there are courses like operation research, wood technology and many more. You will find it difficult to find a job in the future. Besides, all the graduates do not complete their self with various kinds of skills during university to increase the level of competency with others. So in order to solve this problem, government should play its role of introduce more courses that fit the market demands. So that it will reduce the number of unemployment in this country. Students also have to complete them self with different kinds of skills in order to make them self ready to compete with others in job market. Thank you.

Here is another new article that I would like to review on. Lately, I have been strictly following a healthy diet lifestyle in order to be healthy. As I was surfing the net the other day I came across a major problem faced by many youngsters these days which is obesity.

    So what is obesity actually?

Overweight and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. A crude population measure of obesity is the body mass index (BMI), a person’s weight (in kilograms) divided by the square of his or her height (in metres). A person with a BMI of 30 or more is generally considered obese. A person with a BMI equal to or more than 25 is considered overweight.

Overweight and obesity are major risk factors for a number of chronic diseases, including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Once considered a problem only in high income countries, overweight and obesity are now dramatically on the rise in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in urban settings.

I believe that this is a growing problem that needs a serious attention. In my opinion, I would like to point to everyone who is reading this blog to pay a little more attention to your health and diet because you can be in serious danger. Thank you.

I would like to share my thought after I read today's news. In the article, it say that there will be 70,000 more Bangladeshi workers coming to Malaysia. I doubt about what exactly is our minister thinking. At this situation, why our country still import so many foreign country workers instead of taking our own country workers which is many of them had lost their surviving tools in this economic crisis. Although many plan have been come out by the government in order to save the market, but aren’t better that let people to work and feed their own instead of feed them? Besides, all this foreign workers will bring more social issue to our community. Although in that article, it state that On the social impact of the Bangladeshi workers on Malaysian society, he said the impact was low as the workers were confined mostly to their workplaces and seldom ventured outside, However, considering the huge Bangladeshi population in Malaysia, I do not discount the possibility of a few Bangladeshi youths getting involved with local girls, but this is very rare," he stressed.
.I clearly state that I am not criticizing to any people but after what happened all this years, can we still believe what stated here? I don't know, perhaps only god will know. All i hope is our government would reconsider the idea, our own country people should always be the priority in any consideration, not because we wan to help that poor country but ignoring the problem that arising in our own country. At the ends, perhaps what I say here is a bit too sensitive, this all just my opinion that after I read the article. Thank you.

I read an article on ‘DREAMS’. It states that we must hold fast to our dreams, for if dreams will die easily. Dreams are a persons life and ambition. So, no matter what obstacles we face in our life we must try our best to achieve our dreams. Dreams will encourage a person to be strong and determinate. We should not give up without trying our best to achieve the goal of our dreams. A person can be very happy once they got their dreams achieved. One of the way to be successful is by trying to achieve all the dreams in our life. Thank you.

    Hello everyone..
This time I would like to share some informations about globalization. In this era of globalization, modernization has occurred, is occurring and will continue to occur. However we Asians assume modernization is adapting western life practices. The true modernization should occur in our mind and not in our physical appearance. Wearing sexy attire, chunky accessories, fashionable shoes and bags does not portray modernization wholly. Socializing, consuming alcohol especially among women, smoking habits are seen as modernization among Asians. Is that really modernization? Modernization in mind is about forward thinking and open minded. We should still sustain our culture and religious practice. We should be able to think out of the box and narrowing our mind should be avoided. Accepting critics and opinions from others is important. Working with an opposite gender or being close with a guy friend is seen as relationship in the eyes of many. Where the modernization has gone? Ability to curve our mind to the current move is modernization. Only partying and changing partners will not create this. That’ll only cause bad image and deviated mind. I hope this will create a question to all whether they are really being modern or solemnly assuming they are one. Life habits must be in line with religious beliefs and culture which proves you are a true Asian. Thanks you.

Today I come out with an interesting topic about the largest planet that has been discovered by Astronomers. The article is from Brian Handwerk for National Geographic News on September 14, 2006.

This new kind of planet is discovered and it is describe as an extra-large gas giant in our solar system. It is the largest planet ever discovered and boasts a radius nearly 1.4 times larger than Jupiter's. This planet is about one quarter the density of water. In other words, it's lighter than a giant ball of cork. The planet's large size and low density can't be explained by current theories of giant planet formation. As long as I was reading the article, it mention that Scientists suggest the additional heat in its interior could account for its "puffed-up" size, but as yet they can't explain how such heat could be generated. Furthermore, they also explained about the orbits. The orbit is very much like our sun but it is nearly a billion years younger. Moreover, this planet is known as star, and it is enough to be seen with a pair of binoculars. Besides that, for our information they also describing about the extra solar planets that have been discovered in recent years.
That’s all from me till now. I already share everything that I have read and I hope all enjoyed it. Thank you.

    Hello everyone,
Yesterday I have read an article in the Teen Magazines. Something has caught my attention. I realize that many of us do exercise for the sake of being healthy and some to reduce weight. Well what is physical exercise is really for? Have you ever wondered? Well here goes my information to you.

Physical exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health. It is performed for many different reasons. These includes strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, and weight loss or maintenance. Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts the immune system, and helps prevent diseases of affluence such as heart disease, cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes and obesity. It also improves mental health and helps prevent depression. Here I would like to add that childhood obesity is a growing global concern and physical exercise may help decrease the effects of childhood obesity in developed countries.

Well, generally physical exercise is grouped in three different categories that we can take a look into. Here are the different type of exercises and their meaning for your observation: flexibility exercises, such as stretching, improve the range of motion of muscles and joints.
Aerobic exercises, such as cycling, swimming, walking, rowing, running, hiking or playing tennis, focus on increasing cardiovascular endurance. Anaerobic exercises, such as weight training, functional training or sprinting, increase short-term muscle strength.

That’s all from me. Thank you..!

I would like to give my opinion about the book entitled The Secret. Firstly, I was attracted to this book because of the title as I find it very interesting to read. The author of this book is Rhonda Byrne. The book is all about the unrevealed secrets of our lives. This book taught us how to use 'The Secret' in every aspect of our life, including in health, money matters, relationship and in every interaction that we do have in this world. It also enables us to understand about the hidden, untapped power that is within us. And this revelation can bring joy to every aspect of our lives. Another special feature of this book is that it contains wisdom from those who have used it to achieve health, wealth and happiness. By applying the knowledge of The Secret, they bring to light compelling stories of eradicating disease, acquiring massive wealth, overcoming obstacles, and achieving what many would regard as impossible. I enjoyed reading this book and as I was reading this books I came to know how I can have, be or do anything I want. Thank you.

One of the most interesting article that I have read recently in a magazine is about 'LAZINESS'. This article revolves the causes and effects of laziness in a person’s life. As we know laziness is a bad and the most common attitude among the students. One of the major causes of laziness is due to lack of exercising. Every human being has to exercise daily to keep their body healthy and fit. Moreover, lack intake of healthy food also leads a person to be lazy. So, this article has taught me a lesson to exercise at least once a while so that as a student I will be active. Moreover, I should eat more healthy foods such as nutrition foods so that I can overcome my laziness. Thank you.

Few days ago, I had read a article about Panadol. That article stated that, panadol can be used by the people who want to commit suicide. This is more effective that other toxic medicine. Why choose panadol to commit suicide? This is because panadol can damage our organ in the body.It can remain in our body at least 5 years!!!How terrible if we always take panadol as medicine. So, here Iwould like to remind people who has read my comment, please don't eat too many panadol. I read a article recently in Forbes Asia about The Billionaires. The article titled ‘Gates No Longer World Richest Man ‘, an article about the list of world’s billionaires 2008. Surprisingly, Bill Gates no longer the world’s richest man, a place that he ‘owned’ for past 13 years. He fell to third place this year due to bad performance of Microsoft’s shares early this year because of the speculation of Microsoft buying Yahoo.
The world richest man is Warren Buffet, the owner of Wal Mart stores. His wealth rose $10 billion dollar to $62 billion dollar. His company, Berkshire Hathaway’s shares rose 25% since middle of June contributing to his world richest man rank.
Malaysia’s richest man, Robert Kuok is ranked 97th with wealth $ 9 billion dollar. His business interests are shipping, real estate and media. Second Malaysian in the list is Ananda Krishnan with wealth just around $ 7.2 billion dollar. His main business core is communications, well-known Maxis and Astro. Other Malaysians in the list are Lee Shin Cheng, Teh Hong Piow, Quek Leng Chan, Yeoh Tiong Lay & family, Syed Mokthar AlBukhary and Tiong Hiew King.
As conclusion, I hope to see more Malaysian in this list and higher combined net wealth of them in the Forbes Billionaires List in the near future. Thank you.
